Legal Social Media Skeptics – Do you know the most important differences between websites & blogs?
Are you a lawyer who’s skeptical about the attributes and longevity of social media?
Or, perhaps you’re a legal marketer who’s just completed a rebuild of your firm’s website, feels that you know the differences between a website and a blog, and still haven’t bought into this whole “Blogging Phenomenon”.Either way, most people when asked what the difference is between a “conventional” or static” website and a blog reply in any combination of the reasons below:
- Blogs are dynamic, websites are not
- Blogs encourage conversation, websites do not
- Blogs offer RSS, websites do not
- Blogs publish current news, websites do not
- Blogs create the blogosphere while websites are in a way standalone islands

Thank you for the acknowledgment. Many times, when people see the value of something that requires more creative effort, they’ll stab themselves in the foot via denial.
The social media revolution is upon us and I’m committed to providing as much information as possible. Better to surf freely in a storm than be swept away by it!
